Wolves (and coyotes) are usually nocturnal visitors to the area, so we have to be very fortunate to see them in the day. Their territory is large. We have had 'collared' visitors from Algonquin Park on the lake in winter.
Whitetail deer are common and permanent residents. They seem to know that they are safe near houses, especially during hunting season.
